Tomorrow is National Watermelon Day. My dad recently fished up this picture of him and his buddies on a road trip the Summer after they graduated college.
The Hamptons? Somewhere in New England?
Anyway, some takeaways:
1) This was taken with an actual Instagram.
2) It’s from over 40 years ago, but the hair, the clothes, the drunken watermelon trick: I’ll wager this image has been replicated on many a contemporary Billyburgian’s Instagram stream. They’re all from Brooklyn originally, so there’s that.
