Mel Brooks leaving the stage. (at Warner Bros Stage 15)

No one better.
My favorite Mel Brooks story:
While a writer for Sid Caesar’s Your Show of Shows in the early 50’s (along with the likes of Neil Simon, Carl Reiner and other comedy legends. Can you imagine being a fly on the wall in that room?), he’d regularly play pranks on the others, and they him. One year, throughout the year, he’d occasionally admire one of the other writer’s ties, hats, pens, etc. and say “I like that! Can I have it?” and they’d usually give it to him.
Then, at the end of the year, he wrapped up all the stuff they had given him and gave it back to each of them as presents.

Betty White nailed it, but can we all start a movement to get Mel to host SNL just once?

Paging Lorne…

Crying at this clip of Bill Hader as Stefon on SNL Weekend Update.

We just want you to meet someone nice and settle down.

I feel sorry for the homeless guy. I feel really sorry for his dog, though, ‘cause you know the dog’s thinking ‘This is the longest walk ever.’

‘Does this thing have a payoff, pal? ‘Cause I could do this on my own. Really. Thanks for the leash.’

“Perhaps the greatest joke ever written.” — Dennis Miller

Listen to a whole hour of Dennis rap with comedic geniuses Norm MacDonald and Jason Sudeikis from Thursday’s show here.

Part of Dennis’s two weeks of guests from the cast of Saturday Night Live, past and present. It’s been really enjoyable. See the list of guests and check out some clips on http://www.dennismillerradio.com

Norm kills me every time.
