Come inside, the show’s about to start
guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you’ll get your money’s worth
The greatest show in Heaven, Hell or Earth.

You’ve got to see the show, it’s rock and roll…
1986 Mets: A Year to Remember is quite possibly the most amazing video yearbook for any professional sports team…ever. And the best segment, by far, is “Wild Boys,” featuring Lenny Dykstra and Wally Backman.
Sit back and enjoy their full-throttle antics with the accompaniment of Duran Duran.

MetsBlog’s Michael G. Baron ran into the godfather of Hot Foot at Mets camp this weekend.
In case you’re wondering what a Hot Foot is and what it has to do with Howard Johnson, this above video should clear up everything.
I’ve got my fingers crossed that Michael gets a chance to star in an updated version of this very video, but in a brilliant twist, HoJo takes on Roger McDowell’s role as teacher, and Michael takes HoJo’s role as student, passing the torch, pun intended, to the secrets of the Hot Foot.
AUTOMATIC. TRI-STATE AREA UPBRINGING. REBLOG.
If you lived in the Tri-State Area in 1986, you automatically received the 1986 Mets Video Yearbook, A Year To Remember, in the mail with samples of Tide.
It was produced by SportsChannel. Remember?
And what a soundtrack.
I usually watch it at least once a year. I bought the DVD box set of the ‘86 Series a few years back, and, while neat and a nice addition to the collection, doesn’t have the fun musical interludes that A Year To Remember does.
Gotta go buy me some Big League Chew…
