Assorted inanity.

Feast your eyes on Zaitzeff’s Kobe burger, hands down one of, if not the best burgers in the neighborhood. Perhaps the city.
The roommate and I have been celebrating “Burger Mondays” for a while now, where we sample the wares of a new neighborhood burger joint every few weeks or so, as our wallets and digestive tracts will allow. Zaitzeff has been one of the few repeat performances. Yes, we’ve hit all the hot spots. This burger is exceptional.
Organic beef, ground fresh daily. The Portugese muffin/bun is a wonderful touch and brought in fresh, not frozen.
Absolutely worth the price. Consider that far more douchier places in Midtown can charge $30+ for Kobe, and the $9 is almost a steal. Sometimes you get what you pay for… If cheaper always equaled better, then McDonald’s would be winning awards year after year.
;-)
Adam Kuban of Serious Eats/A Hamburger Today (@ahamburgertoday on Twitter) gave them a shout-out on Martha Stewart recently on her “Burger Episode” when she asked about his faves in the city.
A great spot. They offer $5 off your first delivery order. Have a go or stop in.

18 Avenue B between 2nd & 3rd, next to Dolphin Fitness and Croxley Ales. (The sign is a little inconspicuous).

Their breakfast sandwich with organic eggs is quite delicious, as well.
Sat with the owner for a while recently. They are in the process of re-applying for a liquor license. They took over the space and the liquor license from the last tenant. Turns out the former tenant had violations, so now they have to re-apply for a new one.
We’ll see what happens.
Stop in if you can and treat yourself. Also, sign their petition to the Community Board while you’re at it.
She also mentioned that they are planning to open another take-out only outpost in midtown like their Nassau Street location. Should do well.
Again, can’t say enough good things about this burger masterpiece. Wanted to share that with you.
