Many awesome people have left replies on some of my posts.

This is great. I love them and I love that Tumblr has this cool feature.

BUT.

I want to thank them. Say that I got their reply. Or message them. Or just send a heart back. Something.

But I feel handcuffed and muzzled. There is no way built in to replies to ping back.

It’s strange that *getting* the reply makes you feel cut off, but it does.

I know that some people have Message Me enabled, Or I could reblog some unrelated post, etc… But I desperately want to thank them “inside” the system.

Anyway… if anybody has sent me a reply… thank you. I read them, and appreciate them.

Again with this.

Seriously, Tumblr. It’s a half-baked feature. Flesh it out, or, ya know, just enable comments, by default, which is where “replies” should go in the first place.
